Frequently Asked Questions
Are my PDF documents uploaded to your servers?
No. Processing happens 100% locally inside your web browser using client-side JavaScript. Your documents never leave your device.
Does this tool completely erase all hidden tracking or forensic metadata?
No. This tool reads and updates the standard PDF document information dictionary and metadata stream. It does not perform forensic document sanitization, redaction, or removal of embedded objects.
Will modifying metadata change the visual layout of my PDF?
No. Metadata modification only alters document header properties (title, author, keywords) and does not modify the visual content, pages, or fonts.
